Not Worth The Effort
On friday me and my girlfriend was out with a couple of my friends, which I hadn't seen in awhile, so it was nice to catch up. We had a couple of beers and had fun, until we started looking at pictures that we took last year. I got a bit caught up in the memories (maybe too caught up) and my girlfriend felt ignored. I replied when she asked me 'who is that?' and so on, and I thought she didn't mind.
After awhile she left the table and sat in tha back. I felt something was wrong and walked after her too ask what it was. She said that she didn't like being completely ignored for 45minutes and she felt really alone, which ruined her whole evening. I would have felt the same way if she had ignored me, so I understood her really well and apologized.
We talked on the phone for two hours about the situation and she said she needed some time to completely forgive me, but we both agreed that we would carry on with the realtionship as normal as long as we talked about it from time to time.
The next day I decided to make it up too her by showing her that she is the only one I care that much about and to express that I was truly sorry. I trimmed a bit, I wrote her a long note, bought her roses, and I dressed up nicely (not a suit or anything, just nice)
When we met she was thrilled about the roses and it all seemed well. It was her dad's birthday so we were invited to his party. When we got there she said hello to all of her family and friends (which is normal, and I can't refuse her that) so I stood alne for a couple of minutes. Then she sat down at a table without even looking at me and there were no empty seats left there, so I sat down at an empty table hoping that she would come back eventually. It took 20minutes before she even noticed I had moved, and she came to me. 30seconds later she said she had to go to the bathroom so she stood up, walked five meters and started talking to her cousin (or uncle, I don't know), she talked to about 5 different people before she went upstairs to the bathroom. And the smae happend hhen she stood up to get a drink. It took her 20 minutes to get up, walk 15meters, open the fridge, and walk back.
At six, she was invited to a friends birthday party, I don't know this friend so I wasn't invited. This was the first saturday in motnths that we hadn't been together in the evening/night. I went to a friend and we had some beers and played guitar hero and spent the night there. When she left the party, she sent me a sms and told me to call her. She just wanted to talk as she walked home. She went on about how this one guy had hit on her, and I'll admit, I got a bit jealous. She then said that she hadn't had this much fun on a saturday night in months, which pretty much was a punch to the stomach for me. When she arrived at her house she said: Well, I'm home so I'll hang up now. Love you, bye!
I know I made a mistake but, Did I really deserve this treatment?
