She was out of state for a while and we were having a long distance fight. I called her and we finally made our peace. Before I left for the airport to pick her up, I really wanted to make it a good welcome home, so I cleaned up my car nice and neat, shined up my dress shoes, did a little trimming, and put on my nice suit and tie from the back of the closet. I'm a teeshirt and jeans guy, so it's a big difference. I pick her up at the airport, and she gives me a half smile and not even a hug hello. She gets into the car and the first thing she says is that she's probably just going to sleep on the way home. I drive her all the way home to her apartment where she feels it's imperative that she check all of her mail and packages that came, still giving me the silent treatment.
