I am happily married and we fight occasionally, but we respect each other.
Stand your ground emotionally and earn her respect, or THROW HER OUT. You are better off alone than with a woman that doesnt respect you.

And DONT do the friend thing unless she is cool and a friend of your girls. Friends means NO SEX. EVER. Just being close to her is a girl thing to do.Why would you want that constant reminder that she wont fuck you. STOP THE MADNESS!

I got plenty of friends who understand me way better than a women ever could.
And after a relationship, cut all ties, unless you have kids together. NOTHING good can come from and X-girlfriend in your life.

Your a bunch of whinny cry babies. She took my money, she took my self esteem, only because your let her NANCY.

This metro-sexual crap is turning you idiots into women. We are not sensitive and arent supposed to be. Leave that to them, and dont be surprised when she acts that way. Men and Women ARE SUPPOSED to be different.

Dont be a caveman and hit her over the head, respect her and demand she respects you. When she gets all girly and emotional, ask her to explain, she wont(cuz she cant) and she'll tell you to go away. Crisis over.

My favorite is when she says something stupid like "you should wear cologne, or get a pedi cure, or botox, or shave your balls"
My answer is simple and un-wavering, "Men dont do that"
her reply is "well Matt does it" -
"Like I said MEN dont do that"
she finally agrees that he is more metro than man.

She will constantly challenge you, she is protecting herself by reassuring herself that you can protect her. Although saying NO might send her into spin cycle, let her go. Then explain it again. "These are balls" which mean I cant or wont do that.

Gentlmen embrace your manhood, not like this morons we are made out to be on the sit-coms. Chavalry is not dead, however there needs to be a dominant man for it to occur.

Be honest respectful and yet a MAN - you know like your grandfather, and his father. Think he ever got a pedi?
Think he would ever walk into a day spa?

This would be sound advice if we still lived in a society similar to that of the mid-1800s. Welcome to the future, where people are more open to challenging the norms. I agree, things would work better if men were "head of household" and that was that, but that's not the way it is, and that's OK. Things can still work out in a 2-sided relationship. You seem like the type that treats your girlfriends like shit.
